Nantucket's thoughts

Something to ponder for all who read this...The Lord has blessed me with being a part of a jail ministry here in Wisconsin. I get to go inside and share God's Word with the inmates. It's a very cool thing that He lets me do! Sometimes, (well, most of the time) there is not much fruit coming out of there. At least not much that can be seen by those of us who minister there. We all know, however, that even if we are not able to see the fruit...fruit will appear. God's Word does not return void. So, we throw those seeds and keep on keepin' on and get blessed beyond words! The part I would like you all to ponder is this...next time you find yourself in the midst of a trial and it seems like your world is falling apart...think back on this. An inmate...in jail...awaiting sentencing of what could be a very long time...told me the other day..."I'm on a retreat here!" She is actually counting this as a blessing. She considers it a chance to draw closer to Jesus. Praise the Lord and the way He comforts us...if we would only LET Him. Amen?

Very cool post...I have found the same to be true with some of the guys I have had the privilege to mentor - a dead give away of their spiritual state.
    An encouraging note - thanks!

Yeah...I just love it when He blesses us like this! Mostly when we least expect it. Way cool!
